Need Help?
How We can Help
We all need a little help sometimes. In addition to helping you get access to food and clothing, we can explore how to help in many different ways. Please reach out to us today if you are in need.
Home Visits
From the beginning of the Society, the spirituality of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul begins and lives in the home visit. Our Vincentian heart is formed in the home visit. The visitor becomes the guest and the person being helped is the master.
It symbolizes the fact that Vincentians are to reach out to the needy, rather than requiring them to report to an outside service site. It is in the home environment that needy persons feel most free to entrust their stories of struggle to the helper. It is there, in the family setting, that Vincentians are asked to listen, offer humble advice, and render assistance.
Vincentians always visit in pairs. This recognizes the fact that Christ sent the Apostles out in pairs to preach the gospel and administer to the sick and oppressed.
